Mary Louisa Chacon

Mary Louisa Chacon, 97, of Dallas, Texas passed away Monday, September 9, 2024. She was born April 18th, 1927 in Dallas, Texas to Guillermo Rodriguez and Manuela Hernandez and was raised in "El Barrio" (Little Mexico) Dallas, Texas and attended Cumberland Hill. She married Rodolfo Chacon, Sr. on September 9th, 1951 and the couple had three children. She was a gift wrapper at Nieman Marcus where she worked for more than fifteen years. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed Bingo, watching old movies and going out to eat. Her family and friends will always remember her as a strong woman.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo Chacon, Sr. along with her son, Rodolfo Chacon, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Alma Morris and Manuela (Nellie) Chacon; granddaughter, Maria Isabel Meiser; grandsons, William Rodriguez, Johnny C. Reyes, Rodolfo C. Reyes, Frank C. Morris, Max C. Morris, Andrew E. Chacon and seven great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Mary will be held Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. The Rosary will be held Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, September 16, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, at Gonzalez Funeral Home.The internment take place Monday, September 16, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
