Michael Starita, was born August 13, 1920 in Naples, Italy to Joseph and Louisa Starita, and passed away on March 8, 2010 in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Starita immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 7, where he grew up in Bayonne, NJ, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He lived more than 40 years in Scotch Plains, NJ and then Basking Ridge, NJ. He has spent his final years in Dallas, Texas where he was originally in the company of his 2 sons, Michael and Richard and their families. He retired in November 1993 as Vice President of Manufacturing at Rheometrics, Inc. Preceded in death by his wife, Marie Nancy Zicarelli Starita, sons, Joseph Michael Starita and Richard John Starita. Survived by two sons, Michael Starita and John Starita; sister, Annie D’Amico; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Hwy. Chapel, Deacon Tim Muldoon, officiating.
