Michelle Christina Gardner

She grew up in Plano, TX and graduated from Plano Senior High School before attending Southern Methodist University. She graduated from SMU with a degree in economics and worked in banking and insurance roles. In 2019, she gave birth to her precious son Joseph Asher Gardner. Asher was the love of her life and the focus of all of her attention and her hopes and desires.

Michelle loved spending time at the Lake House with her son, swimming in the lake and walking through the flowers and nature. Quietly, she wrote short stories and hoped some day to be a published author. She loved eating spicy Korean food and spending time with her second mom, Eunhee.

Beauty radiated from Michelle, inside and out. She had a sweet smile, warm heart, generous spirit and a hug for everyone. She was a Christian woman, devoted mother, precious and loving daughter, dear sister and friend. She loved her family, life and God.

Michelle departed this earth on August 1, 2024 while at her special place at the Lake House. Though there is deep loss felt by those she leaves behind, we know Heaven is now a brighter place.

She is survived by her son Joseph Asher Gardner; father Paul Edwin Gardner and wife Eunhee; brother Sean Kim Gardner, Aunt Kathryn Ann Pierce and husband Don and a host of extended family members and friends in the US, South Korea and Ireland.

Michelle was preceded in death by her mother Kimberly Hyonsuk Gardner.

A visitation for Michelle will be held Monday, August 12, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A committal will occur Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. The reception is to follow from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
