Lucile was born on December 23, 1922 in Dallas, Texas. She was a 1941 graduate of Dallas Technical High School/Crozier Tech High School and retired in 1984 from JCPenney Hair Salon. She loved to garden, was an avid reader and a wonderful cook; She also enjoyed quilting, sewing and knitting.
Lucile was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Rupe; her parents; and her brother.
She is survived by son, Robert Rupe and wife, Maria; daughter, Diane Eakin; five grandchildren, Kenny Eakin and wife, Vicki, Traci Kettle and husband Dean, Douglas Eakin and wife, Kim, Christopher Rupe and wife Kim, and Marissa Rupe; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Armstrong, Jillian Eakin, and Allison Eakin.
Private graveside services were held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Grove Hill Memorial Park. A special thanks to Adela Floarea and to all those friends and family who touched her life and helped make her 93 years both enjoyable and productive.
