

Glenda Nadine Hendricks Willis was born to Harold Hayden Henricks and Letha Fern Dennis Hendricks on May 4, 1937 at home in Lancaster, Dallas Co, Texas. Attending the birth were her grandmother, Margie Bradshaw Hendricks, and her aunt, Bunna Dean Hendricks Burlison. Aunt “Sis” named her Glenda, and Harold named her Nadine after an old girlfriend.
Nadine was educated at Cedar Hill School until 7th grade, at which time her parents divorced. She attended one year at Greiner Middle School in Dallas, one year at Long Middle School , and completed four years at Woodrow Wilson High School. That was where she met and married William Paul Willis during their senior year in 1955. They married Easter Sunday, April 10, 1955 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Nadine worked at Lone Star Gas from 1955-56, then went to TEMCO, which later became LTV from 1957 until 1971 in the Shipping and Receiving Departments where she had “Top Secret” clearance. Later she worked as an office manager for ADS, an office furniture wholesaler.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul Willis; daughter, Connie Lynn Hurley of Gun Barrell, TX; daughter, Paula Renee and husband Thomas Howell of Dallas, TX; son, Anthony Wayne Willis of Mesquite, TX; Warren Mark Willis of Mesquite TX; grandsons, Chad Dean Hurley, Jacob Allen Howell, Jeffrey Lee Howell, Jerad Mark Willis, and Lon Anthony Wickham; great-grandchildren, Logan Brown, Layla Brown, Henry Allen Howell, and Domino Elizbeth Lynn Hurley.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 22 from 1:00 to 1:50pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home, and will be followed by a Graveside Service at 2:00pm at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
