

Nancy Overton Lemmon lived in Dallas until her death on December 11, 2019, at the age of 94. Born on August 28, 1925, Nancy graduated from The Hockaday School of Dallas and The University of Texas where she was a Kappa Kappa Gamma.
She was a member of The Junior League of Dallas, The Crystal Charity Ball, Brook Hollow Golf Club, Hesitation Club, Founders Garden Club, Dallas Shakespeare Club, Human Nutrition Center at UT Southwestern, Little Sandy Hunting and Fishing Club and a founding member of the American Institute of Wine and Food.
Nancy enjoyed an active and adventurous lifestyle - traveling the world, big game and bird hunting, playing tennis, golf and watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys. Nancy was known for her impeccable style and entertaining. She loved discovering all types of foods and wines on her many adventures and studied at Le Cordon Bleu. One of her favorite pastimes was cooking and entertaining friends with the long-time, trusted personal assistance of Elena, who was a blessing to Nancy for over 50 years.
She is predeceased by her parents, W.W. and Evelyn Overton, her brother W.T. Overton, and her son, William L. Lemmon. She is survived by her son, Mark O. Lemmon, her brother, Thomas N. Overton, her grand-daughter, Katie L. Lemmon; her nieces; Autie K Overton, her namesake, Nancy O. Benzmiller, and her nephew Tommy N. Overton.
The family would like to extend a special thank you and appreciation to Candy Grady, Jim Howard, Alvaro, Ruby, Chunnell and the staff at Terrace House and Belmont Village for all the loving care and assistance bestowed on Nancy through the years.
A private interment will be at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Human Nutrition Center at UT Southwestern, P.O. Box 910888, Dallas, TX 75391 or a charity of your choice.
