

Nora was born in Matamoros , Mexico on August 31st, 1929 to Pablo and Gregoria Salidvar. Despite having no formal schooling, she taught herself to read and write in Spanish. Nora was married to Luciano DeLeon in 1948. They were married for 47 years.
Nora worked tirelessly in the fields and in factories for many years, proving everyday what strength and sacrifice looked like. She was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed bingo night and playing slots. Nora always kept to her traditions of making tamales at Christmas time and bunuelos for New Years Eve. She also made sure black eyed peas were available for good luck.
Nora is preceded in death by her parents, her spouse Luciano and 5 siblings.
Nora is survived by her daughters Gloria Villalobos of Lewisville TX, Diana Herzog of Rockport TX, Linda Hejnar of Lewisville TX, (Sons) Louie DeLeon of St. Joseph MO, and Armando DeLeon of Carrollton TX. Her sister Alida Jackson of Washington state and Raymond Salidvar of Carrollton TX. Her spicy spirit will live on through her 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian faith will be held on November 13, 2025 at 11am, Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch.
