

Ofelia has lived in the Dallas area for the last 6 years. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Brownsville, TX. Ofelia was totally devoted to her family and her faith. She was an excellent cook and loved being in her garden from morning until night.
Ofelia was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Adolfo A. Anzaldua; and two brothers, Edelmiro Castro and Eugenio Flores. She is survived by her children, Sandra Solis of Dallas, Rene X. Anzaldua of Fort Worth, Cecilia Anzaldua of Dallas, and Cynthia V. Anzaldua of Dallas; grandsons, Stevon Anzaldua of St. Louis, MO, and John E. Solis III of Dallas; sisters, Clara Franco and her husband Ramon of Brownsville, TX, and Mary Flores of Hawaii; brothers, Rigoberto Flores of Brownsville, TX, Alfredo Castro Ewing of Bethlehem, PA, and Juan Jose Flores and his wife Cynthia of Westlake, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home in Dallas from 6 PM to 8 PM, Wednesday, February 8, 2012, with recitation of the Rosary at 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 9, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 S. Jupiter Rd. Richardson 75081. Inurnment at DFW National Cemetery will be at a later date.
