She was born on March 9, 1944 in San Benito, TX to Pablo and Inez Escobedo. Ofelia is preceded in death by husband Rodolfo Moreno, parents Pablo and Inez Escobedo, brothers Alberto "Beto" Escobedo and Ricardo “Rico” Escobedo, and sister Maclovia "Mickey" Rocha. She is survived by her daughters Bernie Trujillo (John) and Belinda Moreno, and sons Rudy Moreno and Gabriel Moreno, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters; Geneva, Eloisa, Irma, Magdalena "Nena", and Arminda. And her sweet Maltese “Little Angel”.
Visitation for Ofelia will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a memorial service.
The funeral service will occur Thursday, February 1 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 3:30 pm at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
