Oscar Dee Sims

Oscar was born in Dallas, Texas, on February 4, 1956, to Charles Wayne Sims Sr. and Jo Ann Sims.

Oscar worked in several industries throughout his life. He began his career in new home construction, spent time working in the rubber industry, and later dedicated over 20 years working on Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Light Rail projects. He took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, going to garage sales, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wayne Sims Sr. and Jo Ann Sims, and his son, Jeffery Bradford Sims.

Oscar is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home, located at 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228, on December 29, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the same location on December 30, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

The committal will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park, also located at 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228, on December 30, 2025, at 3:00 pm.
