Pamela Sue Foster, 73, entered into her eternal home in the morning the day before Easter. How apropos it was that she awoke that morning to be reunited with the love of her life, her parents, and many more family members and friends that went on before her.
Born to parents Joe Billy and Billie Faye Hayes on April 11th, 1952, little did they know they were welcoming into the world a truly one-of-a-kind spirit—someone whose bold personality, deep love, and vibrant way of living would leave a lasting mark on everyone she met. From the very beginning, she carried a uniqueness that couldn’t be contained, a spark that set her apart, and a heart that loved fiercely and without limits.
On November 10th, 1967 she married Bobby Foster. She truly met her match in Bobby—someone who could stand toe to toe with her strong spirit, and yet balance it out with his cool, calming presence. They shared a love that was real, tested, and stood the test of time. Like any strong couple, they faced their share of disagreements and hard seasons, but in growing together they chose each other time and time again. Their bond was built on perseverance—rooted in a deeper love, grace for one another, and a commitment to walkthrough life side by side. It was the love that carried them through and thus the love story of fire and ice, a spirited woman and a laidback guy, was made.
How sweet it is that today we celebrate her life on her husband Bobby’s birthday, and with Susie’s birthday just a few short days ago, what a gift they have to celebrate their birthdays together in a place where goodbyes no longer exist. And through these two came three daughters, each a little bit of fire and ice in Michelle, Krissy, and Angie.
The love shared between this family became even more complete as the girls grew up and married the loves of their lives, bringing Bobby and Susie the men they always wanted for their girls. Michelle married Lance in 1986, Krissy married Cecil in 1994, and Angie married Raymond in 2009.
As time went on the family extended to even more wonderful additions. Grandbabies and Great Grandbabies! First came the grandkids, Miranda (now married with her husband Adran), Jonathan, Chance, Alex, Dylan, Hayden, and Jayden, and now the great grandbabies AJ and Zeke. Blessed with a growing family Susie and Bobby’s lives truly was a sight to behold.
Susie’s life was deeply rooted in family, and some of her most cherished memories were made alongside the people she loved most. She and her husband, Bobby, along with their children, often traveled with her sister, Carroll Jennine Paroski (her siblings and cousins all called her Jennine), and her husband, Bob, and their children to the shores of Galveston. There, they would stay with dear friends, filling the days with laughter, the sound of waves, and the kind of joy that only comes from being surrounded by family. Susie and her sister Jennine shared a bond that was truly special—one that could not be separated by distance or time.
They did everything together. Whether it was spending the day shopping, setting off on cruises for new adventures, or simply sitting down to enjoy a meal at Bell’s Better Burger, their time together was constant and full of life. They were more than sisters—they were best friends, confidants, and companions through every season. She also treasured the time spent with her brother Ronnie and Sue Hayes, whose presence brought even more warmth, laughter, and togetherness to family gatherings. Whether through shared meals, conversations, or simple moments of being together, those times were deeply meaningful to Susie and added to the richness of her life.
Her connection with her family was one of unwavering closeness, a beautiful example of love, loyalty, and togetherness. That bond remained unbroken, steady and strong, all the way and into eternity—a testament to a love that will continue on in the hearts of all who were blessed to witness it.
Preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, we know now that Susie has been reunited with them in that sweet place we all hope to call home one day. Although we will miss our Mom/Granny/Aunt Susie dearly, we take to heart that Psalms 30:5 reminds us that while grief endures throughout the night, it is joy that comes in the morning.
And it is with that promise, should we accept the sacrifice made for us by Jesus Christ, that we will see her again. The promise we have of a hello again and a time together that will never end.
A celebration of Susie’s life will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home on April 16th, 2026.
Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm, with the funeral service after at 12pm, and graveside at 1pm.
The family would like to thank everyone who has sent messages, condolences, and all the love shown to them during this time and the days ahead.
