

Patricia J. Moran, a lifelong resident of Dallas, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012. The youngest of five children, she was born February 1, 1927 to Ellen O'Brien and Julius Carl Vogel. She attended Blessed Sacrament School, Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, and Incarnate Work College in San Antonio, Texas. She was employed at Lone Star Gas when she met her future husband, James A. Moran of Indianapolis, Indiana. They were married May 21, 1954. Their home was a gathering place for the family, friends, and all the children in the neighborhood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, Vincent, her sisters Mary Vogel Lindeman and Dolores Vogel, her brothers, Reverend J. Carl Vogel and Donald M. Vogel of Memphis, TN. She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Ann Moran and Maureen McPherson, her husband, Richard, her sons, Thomas Anthony Moran and Patrick James Moran of San Antonio and his wife, Laurie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Beth McPherson, Corrigan, Caitlin and Cassidy Moran of San Antonio and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary, 2:15 pm Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church (Preston @ Colgate), followed by The Memorial Mass with Rev. Msgr. Donald F. Zimmerman, Celebrant.
