Patsy Rhea Thrasher Cramer went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Surrounded by her family, she peacefully passed into the arms of her Savior.
She will be remembered for her sincere love of the Lord, resilience, hospitality, generosity towards others, and her unparalleled beauty, elegance, and grace.
Patsy was born on September 10, 1928 in Dallas, Texas. She met her husband, George, in speech class at Woodrow Wilson High School at age 16. He literally swept her off her feet when he stole her shoe, hoisted it up the flagpole, and traded its safe return for a first date.
Patsy was full of joy, active in Sunday School, a talented interior designer, a gifted cook, an expert in homeopathic medicine, the founder of the Melshire Estates Garden Club, and an officer of the Mes Aimes club. She was also an amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, as well as a loyal friend to many.
Patsy was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 67 years, George Hallock Cramer, Jr.; her sister, Paula Jean “Jeanie” Prestcott; her parents, Clifford and Ina Sue Thrasher, and she is survived by her three children: Buddy, Scott, and Georgia; her longtime friend and son-in-law, Bruce Marshall; her six grandchildren and their families: Bonny-Kate and Ben Ralston, Jonathan and Sara Marshall, Jeremiah and Jessica Marshall, Caroline and David Walker, Sarabeth and Karson Moffett, and Matthew and Emily Marshall; seventeen great grandchildren; three nephews: Cliff, Byron, and Mitchell Prescott and their families; and her loving caretakers, Sharron Jackson and Gidey Mengistu.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to: Lake Highlands Baptist Church of 642 Brookhurst Dr. Dallas, TX 75218.
A memorial service will be held in Patsy's honor at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 27th at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home on Northwest Highway.
