Paul was born in Crockett, Texas on April 25, 1934. He grew up in Mountain Creek Lake with his mother and father and 5 siblings. As a boy he lived a simple life playing games outside, swimming, fishing and listening to “The Lone Ranger” on the radio with his family.
As a young man, Paul settled into his lifelong career, Drywall Contractor. His career led him to Indiana where he met his former spouse Gail Knipe. They had 6 children together. A few years later they moved to Florida and raised their family in Ocala, Florida. Church was a huge part of their Family. Every Sunday they attended church, and when Paul was not working, they were either at the Lake Water Skiing or at the Roller Rink watching Paul do all his tricks. He was an amazing skater.
In 1982 Paul moved back to Texas. That is when he reconnected with his current wife Vivian. Their families joined and he gained 4 step-children. He instantly accepted them as his own, and they loved him so much. They knew he was the perfect man because they had never seen their mom so happy.
Paul and Vivian shared many interests together and traveling was one of them. They loved going on Cruises all over the place, but Paul’s favorite was Alaska. When they weren’t traveling by sea, they were either at the Casinos or Car Shows. Paul loved gambling and restoring cars. He became a big part of Buick Club of America and the local North Texas Chapter. He was a member for 15 years and won 31 awards with his 1955 Buick and 1966 Buick Riviera.
When Paul was not traveling, him and Vivian were at the Western Kountry Klub in Midlothian, TX. This was their 2nd home. He always looked forward to seeing all his friends, sharing stories and dancing the night away.
Paul was a caring, honest and sincere man. A man of great integrity and always willing to help others. He was a great example of how a dad, husband and grandfather should be. His smile and big hugs will surely be missed.
