

Peggy Jean Jackson Kilgore, born June 5, 1930 in Waco, Texas. Departed this life January 1, 2012, in Dallas, Texas. Peggy is predeceased by her parents, A.R.L. Jackson and Gladys Fitzwater Jackson. Peggy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bassett B. Kilgore; by their four children, David Kilgore and wife, Margaret, of Dallas, TX, Patrick Kilgore and wife, Renee, of Bowling Green, KY, Carol Williams and husband, Bob, of Ft. Worth, TX, and Bill Kilgore and wife, Lauren, of Port Jefferson, NY; eight grandchildren Anna, Harrison, Claire, Madeleine, Grace, Paul, Will and Eric; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas, and maintained an active, lifelong circle of friends from those years. In addition to being a full time wife, mother and grandmother, there are more than a few who claim she was like a second mother to them. She was immensely creative and energetic, delighting many with her cooking, painting, stained glass and sewing skills. She was the token Presbyterian representative to the Northway Christian Church Bazaar, where she devoted uncounted hours to creating arts and crafts for the Bazaar and its beneficiaries. She taught Sunday School at HP Presbyterian Church, served as president of the Armstrong Elementary School PTA, and had been a board member of the Dallas County Medical Alliance, with a special interest in the Dallas Science Fair. She was a member of Park Cities Presbyterian Church. Northwest Hwy, Dr. Pete Deison of Park Cities Presbyterian Church officiating.
