

Quinton E. Simmons of Quinlan, Texas, passed away February 22, 2025. He lived a long and blessed life and died at age 95. He was born in Woden, Texas on February 27, 1929 during the Great Depression years to Amos B. Simmons and Elma A. Miller Simmons.
On May 21, 1955, he married the love of his life, Marie E. Low Simmons. Quinton was a loving husband and father and worked hard to care for his family. Although his family was a high priority, his devotion to Christ was his biggest commitment. He served in many churches as a deacon and would readily share his profession of faith to all that would listen.
In his early work life he did everything from welding on a pipeline, delivering flowers, growing and selling watermelons and farming. He often worked two jobs to provide for his family. His dedication to working hard led to a job in insurance. He worked at Preferred Risk Insurance for 25 years. After retirement, he and wife Marie, traveled across America in their RV. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching sports and telling a good story.
Quinton is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Simmons.
He is survived by his son Robert E. Simmons (wife, Deanna), and his daughters, Cindy Ward (husband, David), Annette Fletcher (husband, Scott), Anita Dorsey (husband, Eric). Grandchildren: Jennifer Currin, Brittany Brown, Hunter Ward, Parker Ward, Christian Robertson, Aaron Fletcher and Joshua Fletcher. Great Grandchildren: Laci Currin, Allison Currin, Mia Brown, Lorenzo Ward and Ezra Ward.
All services will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas on Saturday, March 1st. Visitation will be at 1 pm followed by a chapel service at 2 pm and concluding with a graveside service.
