Ramon was born in Medford, Oregon on July 28th, 1934 to Edwin and Elizabeth Bell.
Ray was a graduate of the University of Oregon, Eugene, and played basketball for the Oregon Ducks. Ray was a member of the first basketball team to be invited to play in the Orient and the Philippines.
Ray served in the US Army and attained the rank of Captain until being honorably discharged.
Ray was the owner and CEO of Bell Store Equipment Co. in Dallas, Texas from 1972 until his retirement.
Ray was a generous donor to the Wounded Warrior Project program and the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
He is survived by his loving wife Rebecca “Becky”, three children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He died peacefully, surrounded by his loving extended family Michael and Jenny Browning, Jim and Penny Gaines , Pamela Robin and Jack Womack and brother and sister-in-law Al and Patty Daniels.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor at 12:00 pm on March 3rd, 2018 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Johnson officiating.
