Burch Lovely, age 88, was born Dallas, Texas on January 26, 1931 to Raymond Lovely and Leitras Burch. He attended Lisbon Elementary, Boude Storey Middle School and graduated from Adamson High School in 1948. Burch graduated from SMU in 1953 and was commissioned into the Air Force that same year. He met the love of his life, JoAnn, in 1949 and they were married in 1953. They had their first child, David Burch, in 1954. When David was 6 weeks old he and JoAnn flew to Ashiya, Japan where Burch was stationed for 2 years. He was honorably discharged in 1967 with a rank of Captain. Later came Cheryl Anne in 1955, Lisa Jean in 1957 and Cara Grace in 1962. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Burch worked for Travelers Insurance for 37 years and retired in 1994. There will be a memorial service Monday, October 14, 2019 at 10:00am in the chapel at First Baptist Church Garland, 9th street entrance. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Disabled American Veterans or the American Heart Association.
