Monsignor Robert Clarence Rehkemper “Father Bob”, 98 Years old, of Coppell Texas passed away on July 4th 2022.

Msgr Bob was born in Dallas Texas on November 6, 1923, to Henrietta Josephine Large Rehkemper and Leonard Theodore Rehkemper. He Graduated from Highland Park High School and continued on to attend Texas A&M University and completed his education at St. John Seminary of San Antonio, Texas.

Msgr Bob served as Pastor for numerous parishes in the Diocese of Dallas, then for many years as the Vicar General of the Diocese of Dallas. More recently, he was the pastor of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Hope Arkansas. Finally, he was a Chaplain at Holy Family Chapel in St. Joseph Village in Coppell, Texas.

Msgr Bob is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Wilbur, Jack, Jim and his sister Doris and nephew Ken.

Msgr Bob is survived by his sister Jeanne Wetzel; sister-in-law Pat Rehkemper; nine nieces and nephews and their spouses; 25 grandnieces and grandnephews and by 19 great grandnieces and great grandnephews.

Monsignor will be in the Holy Family Chapel at St. Joseph Village,1201 E. Sandy Lake Road, Coppell, Texas 75019, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2022 with a Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. with Most Reverend Edward J. Burns - Principal Celebrant and brother Priest of the Diocese as Concelebrants.

Procession will immediately follow to Calvary Hill Cemetery in the Priest Circle. The family will visit at the reception to be held at the funeral home after the burial, 3235 Lombardy Lane Dallas, Texas 75220.

The family of Msgr Bob wishes to thank the Diocese of Dallas, Bishop Greg Kelly, and the staff at St. Joseph Village.
