Richard “Rick” Arnold Ebert, born January 26, 1954, in Dallas, TX, passed away on September 20, 2014, at the age of 60. Rick worked construction most of his life, including Vistawall, in Terrell. He was currently working as Purchasing Manager for Universal Glass and had been with them for almost 20 years. Rick was very dedicated to his job and he enjoyed landscaping in his free time. He lived a simple and frugal life. Most of all, Rick loved spending time with his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. He had hoped to retire and move to Ohio to be closer to them someday. Rick is survived by his loving daughter: Amy Slater & husband, Eric of Bellaire, OH; mother: Jo Ann Fortner & husband, Roger of Emory, TX; father: Richard Ebert & wife, Billie of Emory, TX; sisters: Dorothy Beth Cash of Forney, TX and Angela Kines & husband, David of Terrell, TX; brother: Scott Ebert & wife, Gayla of Kaufman, TX; grandchildren: Cody Slater and Brittany Slater of Bellaire, OH; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and many dear friends.
