Richie you were just an awesome and funny guy to be around. I remember at work how if either one of us was in a bad mood you would sing the "Jimmy Crack Corn and I don't care" song...lol. We laughed when you called Sharon the Church lady. You hold a special place in all our hearts and I hope you know that you were loved by so many. You will be truly missed my friend, Love Theresa

He always kept me laughing and helped me tremendously when I moved to Dallas. I’m going to miss calling him big head and hearing him say “What up with it” gone too soon! 

We had so many "some day" plans......

I had the pleasure of meeting Richie about 28 yrs ago when I visited Crossett, AR with my friend Tina and she introduced me to her "brother".  He accepted me into the fold immediately! We had so many fun adventures over the next years, including vacations to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and his beloved "NOLA".  After he moved to Dallas our fun continued. He was an avid sports fan and we attended Cowboys, Mavericks and Ranger games as well as the NFL Draft.  But Richie wasn't just about fun.  He was so giving and generous and always there when you needed him.  And there were plenty of times I needed him. He introduced me to Sam Merenda, my current employer, and for that I will be forever grateful.  He was sometimes my little brother, (a pain in my behind)  and at other times, my big brother (and a shoulder to cry on).  But most of all, he was always a good friend and I miss him already.  

Our story is to be continued.... some day.

Richie was a fellow Crossett High School classmate with a big smile and heart of gold. He just had that little something special that made you instantly like him. Rest now and I will see you again my friend at our class reunion in Heaven.  

Richie, you are already missed.  So many great memories of high school fun, going to college together, being roommates in a tiny dorm room and then getting our first apartment with Tony at NLU.  Oh the laughs and things we all got into during those years.  Going to Tina's apartment,  getting her out of trouble(Ha Ha Tina), and loving life in general.  You are a special person and a true friend.  Love you!!

In the  12th grade, my lunch buddies were Ritchie David and Don.  We always went to Sonic every day.   There was so much laughter during those lunches!  I will always remember Ritchie with a smile and a wonderful laugh.  

I worked with Richie for many years and became friends.  Richie was a special person.  Very generous, genuine and great fun.  The world will be a little bit darker without him in it.  My prayers to the family for your loss of Richie and most recently his Dad.  May God hold you in his arms while you heal and grieve.  

R.I.P. Richard. I have known Richard as long as I have known my husband, Scottie Reed (almost 20 years). He was a great friend to both of us but he holds a special place in my heart. He was a great friend to Scottie and even let Scottie live with him while we planned Scotties move from Dallas to Louisville in 2001 to be with me. He always smiled with genuine warmth and love when he saw us when we visited Dallas or he visited Florida and he was a genuine good person. He will be greatly missed.  We were lucky to get to spend some time with Richard when he came to visit in Oct 2019.  We will always cherish his friendship.

I have a hole that nothing nor anyone can fill.  I remember the day we became friends in 6th grade. You have been my “brother” ever since.  Not one time have I needed you and you were not there.  You knew when to cheer me and when to say nothing at all - just sit in silence with me. You hold within you my inner most thoughts and I never paused to wonder if you would ever tell them.  I knew you were on my side even when I was wrong. We have been through so much together there is not enough space to write it all down.  You carried me when I could not walk any longer. You brought me years of laughs and thousands of memories. There will never be another like you. We will all join you, one by one, and pick up right where we left off ! I am not saying goodbye just rest easy until we are all united once again.  I take some comfort in the fact that you surely did do it your way and I admire you so much for that! I love you my “brother” !!!!

Richie you will forever be a part of me.  I have so many memories of times we spent together. You were truly one of my best friends and you helped me get through a miserable ten years of my life.  You were always there when I needed to talk.  You took me to many Arkansas Razorback games and concerts.  You had such a giving soul.  We had so much fun when you and Dianna came to visit me in New York and Long Island.   Rest In Peace my love.

My dearest friend, it is impossible to put 23 years of love, memories and laughter into a few mere sentences and for once I am truly at a loss for words.  You were the keeper of my secrets and shoulder when I needed it with a burst of laughter and well delivered punch  of cynicism that I so loved.    I hope you knew how much you meant to me and how much you will be missed.  To your family, expressing  my deepest condolences seems inadequate.  Richie was a rare treasure that I was blessed to have in my life.  Richie,  you knew I don’t believe in goodbyes so I’ll leave you with an “I will see you later, and I’m here if you need me”.  I love you always.
