

Chick was born in Dallas, Texas on July 31,1938, to Jose and Teresa Ramirez. Chick was married to Irene Perez on August 22, 1957. They just celebrated their 67th year of marriage.
Chick worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years, and continued to courier for 10 years after he left the post office. However, his true joy in life came when he stepped behind a set of drums. Chick was a drummer and vocalist for 60 years. Early in his life he traveled around the United States with his brothers, in a band called the Jumping Jacks. Back home in Dallas, he continued to play country clubs and supper clubs with his band Double Exposure.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Ramirez and Teresa Ramirez, along with his brothers, Joe Ramirez and Charles Ramirez.
Chick is survived by his wife Irene, his son Rick Ramirez, daughter Richelle and her husband Randy Stinnett, along with 5 nephews and 8 nieces.
A memorial service will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church Monday, November 4th at 10:00 a.m. Father Guadagnoli will be officiating. A reception will follow at the Family Center Lower Lounge located on the church grounds.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Chick’s memory may be made to St. Monica Catholic School Endowment Trust or St. Monica Catholic Church.
