

Gregg had one brother, H. Lynn Morris (Kathryn) who predeceases him.
Gregg attended Mount Pleasant High School, Class of 1964, and then Goldy Beacom Junior College in Wilmington where he played on the basketball team. Basketball was his lifelong passion. With the Spector of the Vietnam War arose like it did for so many men of his generation,Gregg joined the Air Force. After training he was stationed at Hickman Air Force Base in Honolulu, Hawaii. He always maintained that he guarded Waikiki Beach from the Viet Cong, noting that he was 100% successful. While in Hawaii, Gregg met his future wife, Patricia Wilson Warner, in April, 1969. Gregg and Pat were married in Dallas on August 19, 1972. They were both students. Gregg continued his studies at North Texas University; Pat, at SMU Law School. Their daughter, Amanda Robbins Morris, was born one month before Pat graduated.
Gregg worked for the Adolphus Hotel as Food and Beverage Manager and then for Club Corporation of America, managing Canyon Creek Country Club in Dallas and then Indian Springs CC in Tulsa, Ok. Gregg and Pat returned to Dallas where Gregg managed The Shores in Rockwell. In 1984 they welcomed their son, Matthew Barrett Morris. Shortly thereafter, Gregg went to work for Lincoln Property Company where he remained until his death (40 years). His colleagues at LPC were his second family. Gregg and Pat were blessed to adopt and raise their granddaughter, Bailey Elizabeth Morris. She is currently a college student.
Gregg passed away October 30, 2025 in his home with Pat holding his hand after a short illness.
Gregg will be remembered for his kindness, patience, humility, love of sports and his warm smile. He was a wonderful husband and father who without thought always put his family first. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother and daughter, Amanda. He is survived by his wife, Pat, his son Matt (Colleen) and daughter, Bailey. We will forever cherish his memory.
