

Bob was born on February 21, 1928, in Pittsburgh, PA to John and Bertha (Fritzges) Sherman. He married the love of his life, Florence (Brehm) in September 1951, and soon after served in the US Army from 1951-1953. After his service he moved with Flo and his oldest son Bobby, to Dallas, where he and Flo had 4 more children. Bob completed art school and worked for Tracey-Locke Advertising and Point Communications as art director until he retired in 1988. He was a longtime member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church in Dallas.
Bob had a passion for wood-working, traveling, feeding the birds, shooing the squirrels, and tinkering. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, smiles, honesty, humor, charitable contributions, recycling, and strong handshakes.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jack and Arthur, and sons Bob and Tim. He is survived by his wife, Flo, daughter Sue Bratton and husband Mike, son Jon and wife Lisa, daughter Barbara Fletcher and husband Darrell, sister Judy Wittman, 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux, 1404 Old Gate Lane, Dallas, TX 75218 on Saturday, June 8 at 12pm. Friends and family are invited to gather after Mass in the Grand Salon.
