Roberta “Bobbie” Kilby Morrison died peacefully on November 14, 2017. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Garland, 930 West Avenue B, Garland TX on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 4:00pm. Her husband, William (Bill) Morrison, her mother, Floy Kilby, and father, Frances Kilby, preceded her in death. Bobbie was born July 16, 1926 on the family farm outside of Mackinaw, Illinois. She graduated with a BA degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Il and was an active member of Chi Omega Fraternity. Bobbie met Bill at Bradley and they were married December 10, 1949. They were able to celebrate their Golden Anniversary in 1999, just before Bill passed away in March of 2000. Their lives took them to Arizona, California and Texas. Wherever their location Bobbie would become involved with their local Presbyterian Church and other organizations such as the DAR, Welcome Wagon and genealogy groups. Bobbie worked part time in the bookkeeping field and was a wonderful seamstress, making many of her daughter’s clothes. When Bobbie and Bill moved to Tucson in 1959 they gave up their allegiance to The Bears and became avid Cowboy fans – which served them well during their time in Dallas. Bobbie is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Patricia Kilby, her daughter, Lynn Morrison, Lynn’s wife, Pamela Simmons and her grandson, Colin William Casey. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
