Rosalie was born and raised in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas, Texas with her parents and her brother Thomas. Rosalie worked with her mother, Helen assisting her with her home cleaning service. They worked for a group of families that they served for many years during a 40-year period. With some families, they also cleaned for the children of the families they served when they grew up to have families of their own.
Rosalie was a devout Catholic and lifelong member of St Augustine Catholic church. She was very actively involved with her church and served as the secretary of the Women’s Guild for 15 years. She also volunteered to work on the church support activities for annual events like the Carnival, and continuous activities such as visiting nursing homes and providing snacks and comfort to those who lived there. She regularly attended the Dallas Women of Catholic Council Deanery and was once honored as their Woman of the Year. Serving God and the Church were always Rosalie’s top focus and priority.
Rosalie suffered from a life-long chronic illness that presented challenges for her throughout her life. She and her mother were life-long best friends and they lived together for Rosalie’s entire life until Helen died in 2020. Rosalie loved her family and friends and everyone recognized her as being beautiful, kind and personable. One of the most loving people they have ever met.
Rosalie is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Carl Strangi.
She is survived by her brother Thomas Strangi and his wife Powel; her nephew Colby Strangi and his wife Rashmi, her niece Andie Alexander and her husband Rich; and great-nieces Clementine Strangi, Liana Alexander; and great-nephews Shaurya Strangi and Austin Alexander; and many loving cousins and countless loving friends.
