Ruby Jean Fannon

Ruby Fannon, age 70, passed away on December 28, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on January 1, 1954 in Pineville La, Rapides to C.J. Abercrombie and Kathy Malone. Ruby was raised in Dry Prong La and obtained her GED on February 15, 1979 and graduated from East Field in 1999.

She married David Fannon in 1972 and the couple had 3 children. She was a dispatcher for DISD where she worked for more than 31 years.

In her spare time, Ruby enjoyed reading books, watching her westerns, crocheting, cooking beans all the time, and spending time with her family.

Her family and friends will remember her as the sweetest and most loving and caring person you would ever meet. She would give you the shirt off her back kind of person.

She is preceded in death by her father, C.J. Abercrombie and mother, Kathleen Malone; husband, David N. Fannon; daughter, Cheyleen C. Fannon; brother, Billy Abercrombie; sisters, Patricia Harrison and Dian Sibley.

She is survived by her son, Robert L. Fannon; daughter April Fannon and husband Stephen; Andrew Fannon, Anthony Fannon, Juanita Dyson, Joann Stevens, Romelia Menchaca, Quinton Brown, James and Daniel Richardson, Evalyn Lesly, Dustin J. Boshell Jr., Suzanne Boshell, DJ Boshell, Sykira Brown, Quinton Brown Jr., Tay Lesly, Jamyce Motton; best friend, Betty Perry; Aliza, Rosie, soon to arrive, Ruby Raylene Lesley; and many more friends and family.
