Ruby J. Shaw was born September 19, 1934 to the parents of Morris and Addie B. Shaw. She attended school in Terrell, Texas and later attended Beauty school where she received her license as a cosmetologist. She worked for fifty years in Dallas salons and retired at the age of seventy-nine. As a young woman, she met and married Allen Simpson and to this union one child was born. At an early age, she became a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. She was a faithful member of the junior and senior choir until she moved to Dallas, Texas. Where she joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church, where she was a very active and faithful member until she was welcomed into the arms of Jesus. She truly loved the Lord and her church family and family.
She enjoyed sewing, traveling, doing hair and working in the church. Ruby was a loving sister to her family. One son preceded her in death along with her husband, Allen Simpson.
She leaves her memories of love to her sisters, Willie Mae Simpson and Nina Simon along with a host of relatives, nieces, nephews and great friends.
