

Ruth Helen Blake MacQuigg completed the adventure of her life in her sleep July 9th at age 88. The child of Anna Elizabeth Robertson of Sulphur Springs, Tx and Henry Payne Blake of London England, was born on March 9, 1923 in Shreveport, La. She first married William Neuman Fudge of Harrisbugh, PA who was killed in combat in 1945. Her second husband was Albert Heck of New York who died in 1959. Many in Dallas knew her third musician husband Charles MacQuigg who died in 1980. She has two stepsons Robert MacQuigg of Dallas and John MacQuigg of Albuquerque and one grand-daughter. Of several nieces and nephews, Duayne Forsberg of PA, is the Fudge family biographer. After the war, Ruth lived in Washington D.C. later returning to Dallas where she became a private pilot and to be closer to her family including her mother, her sister and brother, several nieces, the Roy Jacobie family as well as Richard and Carol Powers and great niece, Michelle Powers. She began a 30 year career with Hartford Insurance Group where she retired as Assistant Claims Manager. She loved all of her friends, enjoyed playing bridge, extensive traveling and caring for her many dogs. The family thanks Sandy Yeardon for her love and special care of Ruth. You are invited to visit the family at Sparkman-Hillcrest on Saturday, July 16th from 1p.m. to 2:30 p.m. prior to internment at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Dr. Joe Clifford, First Presbyterian Church-Dallas.
