

Sala Fleschler, 87, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, after a long illness. Born April 25, 1925, in Jaroslav, Poland, she was a Holocaust Survivor. She and Sender, her beloved husband of over 61 years, immigrated to Dallas in 1950. She worked for Margo’s LaMode in sales and management until her retirement. She and Sender were members of Congregation Shearith Israel since their arrival in Dallas. She loved her synagogue and being with her family. Sala remained active in the community, enjoyed shopping, and looked forward to working out and seeing friends at the JCC. She was preceded in death by her husband Sender, her parents Zelman and Faiga Magram, as well as her brothers Arie Magram and Marcus Magram.
She is survived by her loving family, including two sons and their families: Sammy Fleschler and his wife Dr. Robin Fleschler of Houston, Texas, and Dr. Mark Fleschler and his wife Diane Fleschler of Dallas, Texas. Grandchildren: Dr. Melissa Peskin, her husband Martin Peskin and their son Aaron Peskin, Dr. Heather Fleschler, and Lindsay Fleschler of Houston, Texas. Michelle Berger and her husband Douglas Berger, Jonathan Fleschler, and Lauren Fleschler of Dallas, Texas.
Sala’s outgoing personality and strength will be missed by her family and the many friends who meant so much to her. She will remain in our hearts forever.
A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Sparkman-Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX, followed by a graveside service at Mount Zion Cemetery (Hillcrest Memorial Park) in Dallas, Texas.
A Special thank you to all the physicians, nurses and caregivers who provided countless hours of care and compassion during the last couple of months to Sala.
