

Sandra was born in San Antonio to Miller Wiley Harwell and Ellen Wise Harwell on May 26, 1941. She grew up in Greenville, Texas, and graduated Greenville High School in 1959. She married James Durwin Mauney on August 13, 1961, in Dallas, Texas. She worked in records administration for Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, Service Corporation International, for 26 years.
Sandra loved her friends and family more than anything. From fellow employees to her large immediate family, her group of friends known as “The So-Sos” from Lake Highlands, and her longtime friend Sandra Hallmark. Everyone can agree her laughter will be missed the most.
Sandra is preceded in death by her husband James Mauney, her parents Miller and Ellen Harwell; siblings Miller Harwell, Elaine Baker, Lucy Hopkins, Melissa Jenkins, and infant brother William Harwell.
To cherish her loving memory are sons Scott Mauney and wife Natalie and Wesley Mauney and wife Ashley. Granddaughters Ellery Mauney, Ashley Borgardt, great granddaughters Joslyn and Taylor Borgardt. Her sister and brother in-law Mary and Steve Ramsey, brother in-law Bill Hopkins and sister in-law Glynda Harwell.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 6th, at 9 am at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home - 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 75225.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6th, at 10 am at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home - 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 75225. Graveside service will immediately follow.
