

Sandra Guinn Prichard Murray went home to heaven on February 8, 2026, in Irving, Texas, at the age of 80. She was born on a sunny Easter morning, April 1, 1945, in Tyler, Texas, to Ernest N. “Tex” and Frances Prichard. Sandra grew up primarily in Dallas, Texas, with three younger brothers, and graduated from Kimball High School in Dallas. She went on to attend Arlington State College, now known as the University of Texas at Arlington, where she met the love of her life, David John Murray, during her freshmen year. They were married on October 19, 1964, in Dallas, Texas, and she went on to become a devoted military spouse as her husband served two tours in Vietnam, and twenty years total, until he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1984. After his retirement, Sandra became a preacher’s wife in Lampasas, Texas.
Sandra and Dave were married for twenty-five years, and during their marriage, they moved numerous times and became parents to two daughters. Sandra also went on to earn her bachelor’s in psychology degree from the University of Hawaii, and her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Central Texas College in 1988.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. She is survived by her three brothers: Terry Prichard and his wife Kathy of Irving, Texas; Darrell Prichard and his wife Shawn of Coppell, Texas; and Craig Prichard of Calgary, Canada. She is also survived by her daughters, Mindy Cochran and husband Kyle of Paragould, Arkansas, and Heather Enright and husband Chris of Grapevine, Texas, as well as her grandchildren, Kaleigh Cochran of St. Louis, Missouri; Marc Cochran of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Drew Cochran of Conway, Arkansas, Collin Enright and his wife Elizabeth of North Richland Hills, Texas, Cooper Enright of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Caris Enright of Waco, Texas. Additionally, she is survived by four nieces, one nephew, and multiple great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Laurel Land in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, February 14, for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, Sandra wished that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans charity in memory of Lt. Col. David J. Murray. The DAV is a charity that she had supported for many years.
