Our Precious angel, taken from us too soon, but remembered forever and loved for eternity, always a part of our family. May God give us peace in our sorrow, consolation in our grief, and strength to accept His will in all things. Amen.
Our beautiful baby boy, Santiago Cristián Alexander Zambrano, 1.5 months, passed on to a better life on Sunday, July 7, 2024. His passing was sudden and unexpected, a result of pulmonary valve stenosis and other preemie complications. He was born early to Aurora Michelle Becerra and Jesus Rubén Zambrano on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Santiago was a strong, brave little baby who survived two difficult surgeries that were ultimately too much for his little body. He lived 48 days. He was our miracle baby and little fighter who was called to be with God much too soon.
Although young, Santiago had immense personality and touched the lives of those around him. His NICU nurses have been known to say,
“Santiago, Every night I had you, I got to experience the wonderful tiny fighter that made sure I knew his likes and dislikes. You kept me on my toes and I loved every second of getting to know you.” - Raegan Miller, RN
“Santiago, You were the strongest baby I have ever cared for.” - Haneen, RN
“Santiago was such a fighter and so strong.” - Nathan, RN
“Santiago, It was such an honor to care for you. You were an incredible fighter and you touched so many lives during your time with us.” - Adam Phillips, NNP
Santiago is preceded in death by his grandfather, Gonzalo Alvarado Becerra, great-grandfather, Louis Adame Miramontes, and great-grandparents, Reyes and Francisca Zambrano, and Rubén and Purificación Matos.
Santiago is survived by his parents Aurora M. Becerra and Jesús R. Zambrano; great-grandmother: Juanita Miramontes; grandparents: Guadalupe Miramontes Becerra, and Jesús V. and Irma Zambrano; aunts and uncles: Nicholas Becerra and Cristina and Adam Pierson, and Priscilla Zambrano and Zaida Treviño; and numerous cousins and other family members who cared deeply for him.
Santiago’s parents love and miss him very much, and want to thank all the family and friends who supported us during this immensely difficult time. Memorials and donations may be given in his name to any of the below organizations.
