Sara Lara Ortega, age 100, passed away on April 14, 2025 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on December 5, 1924 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Pablo Ortega and Simona Cortez. Sara was raised in San Luis Potosi, and would grow up to marry Jose Lara, with the couple having 11 kids.
Sara was a homemaker and enjoyed spending her time cooking, spending time with her children, and later on, she would love the time she spent with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Pablo Ortega and Simona Cortez.
She is survived by her daughters, Juanita Lara, Nena Lara, Mica Lara, Leonor Lara, and Kika Lara; and her sons, Juve Lara, Mingo Lara, Adrian Lara, Amador Lara, Feliciano Lara, David Lara as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that will miss her presence.
