

She was born in La Ventura, Coahuila, Mexico on November 3, 1950 to Francisco and Maria Gloria Aranda.
Silvia’s gift of nurturing touched the lives of many, she lived for her family, especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Food was her love language and she served everyone who came into her home. No one left without eating. She loved her fresh coffee, her garden and the casinos. Her journey in life was marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God and the Virgen Mary. Silvia’s passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives she touched, she will be tremendously missed.
Silvia is preceded in death by her parents, brother Hector and sister Isabel “Chave”.
Silvia is survived by her husband, Silvestre Hernandez, five children; Georgina, Jose, Jorge, Evelia, and Silvia and their spouses, and her twelve grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her eight siblings, cherished nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Silvia’s life will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. Visitation and Rosary on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 14, 2025 from 11:00am to 12:00pm, followed by a committal service from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. Please join us for a reception gathering at the Farmers Branch Recreation Center on 14050 Heartside Pl, Farmers Branch, TX 75234 from 2:30pm to 5:00pm.
