Sondra Pincus passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones Sunday evening. Sondra was born on April 20, 1934 in New York City. She was the beloved daughter of Sam and Leah Marks. Sondra and her family moved to Dallas where she was a proud graduate of Forest High School. She cherished her friends from South Dallas. Sondra met her husband, Joe, at Rosh Hashana services in 1951, and their loving marriage endured for 56 years. Sondra loved her tennis, Chinese food, mah jong and pan games with the girls. She was the first one at the party and the last to leave. She was a great dancer and loved to jitterbug especially with her brother, Arnold. Sondra was most proud of her grandchildren, Scott, Erica, Samantha, Shelli, Brian, and Lilah. Sondra is survived by her husband, Joe, children, Michael and wife Jeanette, Marla and husband Hank, Mark and fiancé, Mindy and brother Arnold Marks and wife Nanette. She is also survived by her best friend, Madelyn Schepps, who was with her from Forest High until the end. Momma was blessed with friends like Madelyn. Many thanks to the hospital staff at Baylor University Medical Center and the Baylor Rehab Clinic for the love and kindness extended to our mother. Thanks to Dr. Lance Cowey and all the compassionate doctors for their devotion and expertise. Funeral services will be conducted by Rabbi Shawn Zell of Tiferet Israel at Sparkman Hillcrest at 2:00 P.M. Sondra loved to win and hated to lose. She lived her life to the fullest. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tiferet Israel Synagogue, Leukemia Texas or the charity of your choice.
