Stuart A. Walker, born May 31, 1934 passed away at home on October 12, 2018. Stuart was born to William Leroy Walker and Alice Walker in Kansas City, Missouri. Stuart graduated from the University of Kansas with a BA in Architecture and was a licensed Architect for 44 years. In retirement Stuart enjoyed traveling with his wife Joan, reading and most importantly, golfing, making sure to have the fastest cart and a pencil eraser to make for a great day,
Stuart was preceded in death by his Parents, William and Alice Walker, a brother, Bruce Walker and sister, Carol Walker Dow of Putney, Vermont, son, John L Walker and grandson, Michael Stadler.
Stuart is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan Schroeder Walker, eldest son Stuart Walker, Jr and daughter, Tracy Walker Stadler. Stuart was also the proud and loving grandfather to eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A funeral and interment will be held on Saturday, November 10 at 3:00PM at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church; at 5923 Royal Lane, Dallas, TX 75230 where Stuart sang in the choir and he and his wife were members for 39 years. In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made in Stuart’s memory to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
