Susan Yvonne Bright

Susan was born to the parents of Jimmy Abrams and Geraldine Bright in Monroe, Louisiana. Sue attended and graduated from the Monroe Public School System in Quachita Parish and later pursued her Associates Degree at Tarrant County Community College.

Sue met and married the love of her life Willie Summerville in 2004 and was married 17 wonderful years.

She loved her family and family gatherings. Thanksgiving and Christmas will never be the same without her Dressing, Cakes and Pies.

Susan was embraced at Heavens Gate by her father: Jimmy Abrams, sister: Cynthia Bright and brother: Iva Lee Bright.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories three children:Tryston Bright, Anniemythia Bright, Roshonda Bright and son in law Kyle Foster; seven grandchildren: TaMara Bright, Jaidyn Chappell, Exavier Bright, Jordan Chappell, Daimiun Bright, Joshua Chappell and Dwayne Johnson III; two great grandchildren: Olivia Hutchons and Darion Hutchons; three siblings: Albert Johnson, Carolyn Johnson and Nell Profit.

Susan will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her dearly.

A Celebration of Life Service for Susan Yvonne Bright will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home 6300 S. R. L. Thornton Frwy Dallas, Texas 75232
