Sylvia Estefana Fuentes was born to Estefana and Ildefonso Fuentes on September 21, 1956 in Anáhuac, Nuevo Laredo, México. She passed away on September 30, 2025 in Las Colinas, Texas at the age 69.
Sylvia was raised in Anahuacto and Dallas. She had three children and in her spare time enjoyed going to church, parks, and spending time in her home. Her family and friends will always remember her not only as a brave and strong Christian woman but also as a caring and loving single mother, a true fighter.
Sylvia is loved and will be greatly missed by all those whose hearts she touched. She is survived by her children Enrique Fuentes (first son), Silvia Lopez (second daughter), and Octavio Sanchez (third son); grandchildren, (from Silvia) Lawrence Lopez, Jr., Sylvia Lopez, and Orlando Lopez; (from Octavio) Analyza Sanchez, Isis Sanchez, Joaquin Sanchez, and Cesar Sanchez; great-grandchildren (from Analyza) Damian Cortez and Isabel Cortez.
Services will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220. The visitation will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11:00 am, followed by the burial at 12:00 pm.
