Smiley was born to Suzie Salazar Baysinger and Robert Raymond Baysinger on July 30, 1962, in Dallas, Texas. He was married to Kimberly Ann Albano, who preceded him in death on February 24, 2022. Smiley and Kimberly did not have children, but they loved and were devoted to their loyal little dog, Sam-Sam.
Smiley lived up to his name. He was a friendly, good-hearted man who enjoyed good food, good laughs, and good times with family and friends! He was kind and compassionate and always ready and willing to help anyone in need. He was a laborer and very hard worker in various trades, such as plumbing, painting, air-conditioning, and electrical. Though he wasn’t a master of any one trade, he would apply common sense to the task and do the work necessary to get the job done.
Smiley is survived by his loving dog, Sam-Sam; six sisters: Cynthia Reyes, Diana Chiles, Jackie Hale, Theresa Morris, Linda Lane, and Lisa Akrawi; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly Ann; his mother and father, Suzie and Bob; and his brother, Robert.
The “Mighty Thor,” “Bones,” “Smelly” is loved and will be truly missed, but we hold on to the hope that our family will someday be reunited at God’s heavenly throne.
A graveside memorial and celebration of Smiley’s life will be held at Restland Memorial Cemetery in Dallas, Texas on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11am. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Bruce White. Family and friends are all welcome to attend the Celebration of Life which is located in Holy Trinity Garden at Restland Memorial Cemetery.
