

Tommy Leonard Taylor, a devoted father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He was a man who loved deeply, laughed often, and found joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially a good day on the golf course.
Born to Leonard Taylor and Mary Jo Dooling, Tommy grew up with a strong work ethic and a heart full of kindness. He spent over 40 years in the car business, where his honesty, humor, and genuine care for others earned him the respect of coworkers and customers alike.
Family was always at the center of his life. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Leonard Taylor and Mary Jo Dooling. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bonita Taylor; his loving daughter Tiffany Parrish and her husband Gerald Parrish; his sons Greg Taylor and Brent Taylor and wife Sue Cookston. He also leaves behind his sisters Anita Jones and husband JL Jones, and Sandy Green, along with many cherished grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will carry his memory forward with love and pride.
Tommy will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his quick wit, and his passion for golf. Whether he was spending time with loved ones, sharing a story, or enjoying a round on the green, he made every moment count. His warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
A visitation for Tommy will be held Monday, October 20, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232. A funeral will occur Monday, October 20, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232. A committal will occur Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
