

On Friday evening, November 20, 2015, Maxine, 94, passed away peacefully of natural causes in Doctor's Hospital in Dallas, TX. She has been a resident of Diversicare of Lake Highlands since 2013 where she was attended by caring staff members. Maxine was born in Caddo Mills, Texas on February 10, 1921. She was a life long resident of Dallas. She was the first child of Martha (Mattie) and Otis E. White. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Stuart Cutler, her brother Otis White, Jr. and sister Fredis Michel. Maxine is survived by her step-daughters Susan Cutler(Robert McCaghren) and Debbie Henn(Ralph); her granddaughters Jennifer Anderson and Allison Sprouse (Matt); their daughters Sophie and Hazel. Maxine had many friends she leaves behind who were all very special to her. Among these are her Godson Harry Traylor(Julie); their children Natalie and Nolan, and Harry's mother Lil Traylor who was Maxine's long-time best friend. Other survivors include Betty White and her daughters Linda, Karen, and Jan and their families, Hayden Parmelly and Joe Parmelly. Maxine's parents were very active in the First Baptist Church in Dallas. Maxine sang in the choir and was also active in the church. Maxine was a member of Loyal Chapter #648 Order of the Easter Star. Maxine worked in sales and later as owner, along with her sister, in her parents company OE White Filter Service. Upon her retirement, Maxine gave her time helping hospitalized children. Children and animals loved Maxine. She made the shyest child or the most timid animal comfortable in her presence. She loved people, was an exceptional hostess, loved crafts, flower arranging, and interior decorating. She was key in the renovation of the lobby at Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport, LA.
