Troy Pernell Sykes

Troy united with the Lake Bethlehem Baptist Church under Pastor Dennis Everett. After moving to Dallas, Texas, he attended St. Luke Missionary Church in Dallas, Texas.

Troy received his education in the Hollywood Heights District from Oak Park Elementary, Bethune Middle School and graduated from Huntington High in 1984.

Troy met and married the love of his life, Teresa Payne. To this union two children were born, Trinity Peyton Sykes and Tristin Reed Sykes. He worked for over 18 years with Motion Industries.

He was met beyond Heaven’s gates by his sister, Tracy Sykes; aunt, Josephine Suttle; uncle, John Giles; and special friend Rodney Calloway.

Troy leaves to mourn and cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 19 years, Teresa; daughter, Trinity; son, Tristin; his mother, Sandra Sykes of Shreveport, LA; brother, Trent Sykes; aunt, Nancy Jackson, Shreveport, LA; uncles, Gerald Giles and Danny Suttle of Shreveport, LA; his close friends from Hollywood Heights, Thomas Garner Sr. of Dallas, TX, Terry Jones of Dallas, TX, Kevin Knowles of Dallas, TX, Rodney Duncan of Shreveport, LA, Timothy Smith, Andre Hendricks, Jeffery Hunter, Roderick Davis, Kenneth Ary, Charlie Caldwell and Vernon Dixon; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, classmates, neighbors and friends.
