Van Arnold Kendall III was born on October 10, 1950, to Ruby and Van Kendall Jr in Paris, Tennessee. He was the oldest of two sisters (Francil and Teresa) and five brothers (Rickey, Michael, Edward, Devester, and Raymond).
He grew up and attended school in Paris, Tennessee where he graduated from Central High School and later Southwestern Christian College and Abilene Christian College. He was a family man and owned Kendall Janitorial Service since 1978 until he later retired from Head Start of Greater Dallas.
Van was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Raymond, Rickey, and Edward, and brother-in-law Larry Howard.
He leaves to celebrate his life and legacy his devoted wife of 15 years Ruth Greer-Kendall; 3 children Van IV (Steven), Vandria (Tyrone), Eric (Stephanie); 4 stepchildren Theodore III (Denesha), Byron, Erica (Jason), and Brittany; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Van passed peacefully at Baylor Scott and White Hospital, Dallas, Texas. His presence, wisdom, and gentleness will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
