Verna Marie Baker Bunch

Verna Marie Bunch, also known to many as Toodle died at the age of 97. Verna had formerly lived in Dallas. The last seven years she lived with her daughter and her husband Paula and Marvin Horton who moved to Kemp from Dallas in 2007. Her death occurred on July 1, 2011 from complications of a stroke she suffered in 2004.

She was born on January 22, 1914, in the town of Mt. Vernon, Texas. Her parents were William Ira Baker and Dollie Franklin Baker. She was preceded in death by her two husbands: Oliver Campbell and Roy Bunch. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by one sister Martha Almeta Sheather. She is survived by son Oliver Campbell and wife Ann; her daughter and her husband Paula and Marvin Horton. Verna was also survived by one stepson Donald Roy Bunch and wife Cindy. She had numerous grand children, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Verna Bunch will be held at 2:P.M. Wednesday, July 6, at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd in Dallas Texas. Brother Kyle Gulledge, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery also in Dallas. Friends and Family will gather Tuesday, July 5 from 6 till 8 P.M. at Grove Hill. Pall Barriers are Roy Horton, David Horton, Raymond Horton, Mike Horton, Troy Horton, Danny Salik.
