Victor Longoria Camarillo, Sr., age 85 passed away peacefully while his family cared over him on September 22, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He was born and raised in Gonzales, Texas to Ascension and Herlinda Camarillo. He married Cleofas Rangel on September 30, 1961, and promptly moved to Dallas, Texas. Together they have six children.
Victor’s professional career was that of a Master Plumber. He was affectionally known as “El Plomero” in the local West Dallas area and serviced the DFW metroplex area. His hard work ethic, and need for good helpers; inheritably instilled some plumbing knowledge into all his sons, with three of them ultimately becoming licensed Texas Plumbers. In his spare time, he enjoyed firing up his BBQ pits, smokers and self-proclaimed himself with the title of the Best Brisket Cook for our family. He also enjoyed storytelling, fishing and especially white-tail deer hunting. He also relaxed by observing the clouds and trees to see what images he could find.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ascension and Herlinda Camarillo; stepmother, Nicolasa Carrizales Camarillo; three brothers, Santos Camarillo, Juan Camarillo, and Miguel Camarillo.
He is survived by his wife, Cleofas Camarillo; two daughters and four sons, Mary Teresa Camarillo, residing in Dallas, Texas; Victor Camarillo Jr., his wife, Idalia, residing in Stockton, California; Robert Camarillo, his wife, Italina, residing in Dallas, Texas, Daniel Camarillo, his wife, Monica, residing in Dallas, Texas; Rudy R. Camarillo, his wife, Martha, residing in Dallas, Texas; Sandra Camarillo Macias, her husband Giovanni, residing in Red Oak, Texas; one sister, Victoria Camarillo Martinez residing in Bay City, Texas; ten grandchildren, Carolyn, Victor III, Michelle, Daniel Jr., Erica, Adriana, Ruby, Xavier, Alejandra and Giovanni Jr.; ten great grandchildren, Syana, Serena, Charlotte, Jesse, Marshal, Wyatt, Victoria, Mackenzie, Robert and Penelope Cleofas.
Victor’s legacy is one of dedication, warmth, humor, and deep-rooted family values. His stories, his laughter, and the lessons he passed down will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
