Virginia Ruth Fagan

Virginia was raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from El Centro College in 1974 where she earned her nursing degree. Virginia married Jerry Fagan in 1982 and had a career as a Registered Nurse at Methodist Hospital, where she worked for many years.

Virginia's family and friends will always remember her as a kind, caring, and devoted person who was affectionately known as Granny Ruth. She brought joy to everyone around her through her love for gardening, traveling with Jerry, and spending quality time with family and friends. Her faith and dedication to her church were an inspiration to all who knew her. Virginia had also assisted FEMA during Hurricane Katrina.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Mary Jones; her husband, Jerry Fagan; and her beloved granddaughter, Machai Denise Robertson.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda and husband Martin Fairchild, Teresa and husband Gonzo Gonzalez; grandchildren, Jason Weatherford, Bryan LeMay, John Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez; and her bonus grandchildren, JR, Lolu, Tommy and Priscilla Gonzalez, and many great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Virginia will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228, followed by a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
