Virginia 86, after a 26yr courageous battle with Alzheimer's passed away at home Sunday evening 7:50 p.m on the front porch swing at Sunset, in the arms of her devoted Son, Jacob Lee Hines II.
Memorial Services will be at Grove Hill Memorial Cemetery 3920 Samuell Blvd in Dallas, Tx 2:00 p.m Saturday.
Virginia was born July 2, 1925 in Dallas, Tx at St. Pauls Hospital the Daughter of Osso Joseph Morris and Ruth Hancock Morris. Virginia Graduated from Forest Ave. High School (currently James Madison) in Dallas 1943.
Virginia was a life long Christian and member of the Church of Christ. She married Jacob L. Hines Sr. - Minister (Affiliate of Abilene Christian University and long time friend of the late Chancellor - John C. Stevens) on Dec 31st 1953 in Dallas, Tx. She and her husband were married 31yrs until his death.
Virginia and her husband worked together to produce the book Howard Hines Study of Revelation in 1967.
Virginia was and accomplished Pianist and typist. She worked for Metzger Dairy in Dallas many years before moving to Nevada with her husband to support a Ministry in Reno.
Virginia and Jacob retired to Abilene, Tx in 1969.
She is survived by her Son's - Larry Lee Hines, Jacob L. Hines II his wife Tamara, and Daughter - Jakealee Catherine Hines Schmidt and husband Bob Schmidt
Grandchildren - Jacob L. Hines III his wife Ivanna and Brittany Virginia Hoak / Jessica Taylor and husband Chris Taylor
Great Grandchildern - Jacob Ezekial Hines and Bella Hines / Shannon Taylor and Charissa Taylor
Brother in law - Delmas Thurmond
Nephew - Jerry Thurmond
