Virginia Phelps Perkins Lacy, born Dallas, TX February 2, 1920 to Julius Cicero (J.C.) Phelps and Susie White Phelps, died on September 21, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert White Phelps and husband Robert Browning Perkins and husband John Edwin Lacy all of Dallas. She is survived by son, Robert Jack David Perkins and wife Sharyn of Austin; daughter, Susan Lacy Sinclair and husband Donald of Houston; grandchildren, Robert Bryan Perkins and wife Loriann; Kathryn Lacy Sinclair and William Blake Sinclair. A graduate of Highland Park High School, Dallas, TX she attended Rice University and then Washington University in St. Louis where she earned a bachelor's degree in statistics and master's degree in social work. A life-long resident of Dallas, TX, she was an active member of The Dallas Woman's Club, Founder's Garden Club, Dallas Garden Club, Matheon Club, Lakeside Browning Club, Dallas Southern Memorial Association, Christ Child Society, Craig Class, and Crewel Group. A Memorial Service will be held 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel with reception immediately following. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
