

Walter Donald Baab passed away peacefully in the company of his lovely girls on Sunday, July 1, 2012. He was born October 17, 1929 in Orange, NJ to Edith and Walter Baab. Don had an Air Force Commission through the ROTC program at Rutgers University and served in the Air Force for two years. Don was married to the love of his life, Carol, for over 50 years. Together they raised four daughters and helped raise their grandson, Anthony. Don attended Catholic church with his family, and in 1976 he formally joined the catholic church. Since then, he has been a participating member of St. Rita's, serving as usher and volunteer in several ministries. He spent many summers camping with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Don worked for Neiman Marcus before relocating to California to work for Bullock’s Department Store. The family later returned to Dallas when Don took a job with Reynolds Penland. He later became a manufacturer’s rep. After retiring, Don worked part time for Theatre Three and enjoyed their live productions. During his retirement, he actively volunteered at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Constance Ann. Don is survived by his beautiful wife, Carol, his four daughters: Pam Dimoulakis, Suzy and husband John Keane, Katie Farrar, and Ellen and husband Dennis Saiz, his grandchildren: Dimitri, Eleni, Anthony, Christina, John-Henry, Cody, Sophia, Michael, Betsy, Lauren, Patrick, Shelby, and Allison, and his great grandchildren: Celeste, Travis, Carrie-Ann, Cayden, Allison, and Olivia. He is also survived by his brother, Peter and wife Louise. Mass will be celebrated by Msgr. Coerver at St. Rita’s Dallas on Friday, July 6 at 10am.
